Donaghadee Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly community club based at the Commons, just off the Millisle Road.
We offer a variety of club sessions, coaching and membership packages for all abilities.
If you are interested in coming along please take a look at the Membership Info section of the website.
Donaghadee Lawn Tennis Club has three floodlit astroturf tennis courts, which can be used all year round.
We are happy to be able to offer a variety of sessions for all ages and abilities, including evening club sessions, junior and senior coaching, cardio tennis and one to one coaching with our qualified coaches.
We have a large number of teams which compete in the Belfast & District League including girls and boys U14 and U18s, ladies and mens singles teams, mixed doubles and veterans teams.
New members are welcome to come down to a maximum of two sessions before they will be required to join the club.
Good News for Club Play
The Council re-opened the courts to the public at the end of May for initially a trial period of 4 weeks. Since then things have progressed and we are now almost back to normal, in that club sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons have recommenced and all coaching sessions have re-started. This includes the ever-popular Thursday junior schedule for P1-3 from 5-6pm and P4-7 from 6-7pm
All players need to register when they arrive for track and trace, use the hand sanitiser and maintain social distancing. And of course there is no hand-shaking after a set - we've adopted the "racket tap" instead!!
The draw has just been made for the Club Championships which will provide some welcome competition for members and we have entered a Ladies and Mens team in the Ulster Autumn League.
It's great to see the courts busy again and now could be an ideal time to try tennis at DLTC - the club is always keen to welcome new members.
